Position Summary
The Floor Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional member service while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming fitness environment. This role ensures equipment is properly maintained and sanitized, assists members with general questions, and supports daily operations of the fitness center.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage members in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of the fitness floor, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Sanitize fitness equipment throughout operating hours.
- Ensure all equipment is organized, operational, and reported if repairs are needed.
- Re-rack weights and keep workout areas free of hazards.
- Stock towels, cleaning supplies, and other fitness amenities.
- Monitor adherence to club policies and safety procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing responsibilities.
- Provide excellent customer service while creating a positive member experience.
- Support fitness staff with operational needs as assigned.
Qualifications
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Interest in health and fitness.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- CPR/AED certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
