Fitness Coordinator

This position will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Schlossman and Fercho Fitness Centers by ensuring that staff are properly trained, the centers are clean, and equipment is functioning. This position will ensure that staff are interacting with new and existing members to help them in achieving their health and well-being goals as well as creating a welcoming environment for all.

• Assists in the administration and leadership of the Fercho and Schlossman Fitness Centers, ensuring a safe and clean facility with all equipment in working order. Assists in coordinating the daily maintenance of equipment, carrying out proper maintenance procedures, and reporting any damaged equipment to the Fitness Director
• Trains in a number of topic areas including but not limited to youth exercise, chronic disease, cancer, and nutrition
• Promotes and sells personal training programs and services
• Develops and maintains a personal training client base of up to 10 sessions a week
• Fills in for fitness staff as needed; is a peer leader for all fitness staff
• Interviews, hires, and trains new staff per policy
• At least 21 years old
• Bachelor's Degree in a directly related field or 2 years of directly related experience, training and/or education
• 1 year of supervisory experience
• One nationally accredited Personal Training Certification or within 90 days of hire
• Within 90 days of hire: CPR/FA Certification for Adult, Child and Pediatrics
