JOB SUMMARY
Park Center Health and Fitness is looking for an energetic and motivated individual to be a part of our fitness team.
The Fitness Desk Staff member is responsible for overseeing the fitness center during assigned shifts, and performing the following duties, but not limited to:
- Check patrons into the computer system, answer phone calls and complete transactions.
- Ensure patrons are following facility rules, encourage proper equipment sanitation, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility by refilling amenities, completing laundry, and cleaning locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the fitness desk area.
- Conduct facility tours and track prospective member inquiries.
- Provide equipment orientations for new members.
- Administer basic first aid to patrons when needed.
- Perform duties that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods of time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and energetic personality required.
- Previous customer service experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Proficiency with computers and basic computer applications.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old of age.
SCHEDULING & PAY
This is a year-round part-time. Seasonal applicants will not be considered. Starting pay is $16-$18/hour depending on qualifications.
The position will work approximately 15 to 20 hours / week, including the following set schedule:
- Tuesday & Thursday 4:30am to 9am, Sundays 6:30am to 12pm.
- There is also the opportunity to be scheduled for additional shifts outside of the specific shifts.
- Employees are required to work the annual July Fitness Event and attend all meetings/trainings.
