Fitness Floor Attendant

As a Fit Floor Attendant at our brand-new Healthy Living Center, you'll be the friendly, knowledgeable presence on the fitness floor who turns first-time visitors into confident, committed members — and helps regulars keep leveling up.

What You'll Do

Coach & Connect

• Guide members through their health and wellness journey, checking in regularly on their progress toward personal goals
• Conduct wellness evaluations and program recommendations for new members
• Answer questions and share your working knowledge of wellness trends and best practices
• Build genuine relationships that help members feel connected — to their goals, to each other, and to the Y

Own the Floor

• Monitor the wellness floor, offering form corrections, spotting, and workout suggestions
• Recommend equipment and programs tailored to each member's needs
• Keep the space safe, clean, and fully functional — daily equipment cleaning included

Guide the Experience

• Greet scheduled members at check-in
• Schedule follow-up appointments so members keep getting real value from their membership
• Conduct post-enrollment interviews to understand each member's goals, background, and needs — then help shape a plan around them
• Share wellness resources (handouts, schedules, program info) and track daily usage stats

Represent the Y

• Follow YMCA policies and procedures; respond to emergencies and document incidents when they occur
• Enforce equipment area guidelines
• Attend staff meetings and trainings, and keep your certifications current
