Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE:

  • Lead wellness experiences — Direct Fitness, Mind‑Body, and Outdoor Sports, to ensure exceptional service and memorable guest interactions.

  • Collaborate on fitness & ODS programming — Partner with the Programming Manager and wellness providers to develop innovative classes, activities, and experiences that enhance the guest journey. 

  • Oversee daily operations — Ensure programs, facilities, equipment, trails, supplies, transportation vans, and classrooms are safe, well‑maintained, and guest‑ready at all times. 

  • Manage and develop colleagues — Hire, coach, mentor, and support professional development; conduct performance reviews; oversee scheduling and timekeeping; and ensure all required licenses and certifications remain current. 

  • Build cross‑functional partnerships — Work closely with Programming, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Guest Services, Sales, and Marketing to ensure seamless operations and successful group programs. 

  • Serve as a visible leader — Maintain a strong presence with guests and providers, resolve concerns, uphold safety and service standards, and continuously identify opportunities to elevate guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

  • Bring 3–5 years of leadership experience in spa, wellness, hospitality, fitness, recreation, or a related guest-focused environment, with a proven ability to manage teams and operations.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (required); a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CPR/First Aid certification required, with additional certifications such as Personal Training, Group Fitness, Yoga Instruction, or Outdoor Leadership preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team while delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Possess strong business acumen, including experience managing budgets, forecasting, revenue-generating operations, and using property management and Microsoft Office systems.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by effectively prioritizing multiple responsibilities, solving problems proactively, maintaining attention to detail, and remaining calm under pressure while ensuring operational excellence and safety standards are met.
