Job Title: Fitter/Fabricator

Job Description: involves grinding, coping, notching, and fitting parts, as well as welding and partial assembly when needed. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings and sketches, performing layout work on piping and structural materials, and calculating required dimensions. The position requires maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Tasks to Perform:

• Grind, cope, notch, and fit parts.
• Obtain materials, drawings, and tools for each job.
• Communicate with employees to resolve quality or production issues.
• Interpret drawings and perform layout work on piping, structural, and plate materials.
• Calculate dimensions needed for assigned tasks.
• Fit-up and tack weld materials.
• Weld and partially assemble parts as required.
• Fabricate replacement maintenance parts without prints.
• Perform welding in all positions (lap, V-butt, fillet, etc.).

Compensation: 

• $18-24

Available Schedules: 

• Monday-Friday 6am-230pm

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to sit, walk, kneel, bend, crawl, and crouch for extended periods.
• Ability to adjust machine or vehicle controls precisely.
• Depth perception and distance judgment.
• Quick reaction time.
• Full coordination of hands, arms, and legs.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly and 25 lbs frequently.
• Strong mental and visual attention.
• 2 years Fitter/welder experience
