Fitter/Fabricator

The Fitter/Fabricator will be responsible for executing all tasks and technical aspects of assigned projects to ensure the highest level of accuracy and quality while working with the Shop Foreman. This position will be responsible for the fitting of all components working from engineered drawings.

Job Responsibilities

The list below is meant to be a guide and not all inclusive of the daily responsibilities.

• Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
• Fabricating & Designing build fixtures.
• Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
• Setting up metal working machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, and saws.
• Reviewing drawings prior to the beginning of fabrication.
• Perform quality checks on completed products.
• Complete inspection reports.
• Fabricate components in a timely manner to maintain schedule.

Education Requirements

• Vocational training certificate or College degree.

Experience

• 2-5 years’ experience as a Fitter/Fabricator.
• AWS welding certification.
• Proficiency in using shop equipment.
• Hi-lo License.
• Rigging and overhead crane use.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, positive “can-do” attitude.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Automotive Conveyor Fabrication a plus.
