    • Verify dimensions and tolerances to meet engineering specifications
    • Move materials using cranes, hoists, forklifts, and rigging equipment
    • Straighten or adjust steel components using heat and mechanical methods
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
    • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals

    What We're Looking For

    • 3+ years of experience in steel fabrication, structural welding, or fitting
    • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
    • Hands-on welding experience (FCAW required; MIG and Stick preferred)
    • Strong fitting, layout, and assembly skills for heavy steel components
    • Experience working with steel plate, structural steel, or heavy fabrication
    • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
    • Basic math skills for layout and fabrication accuracy
    • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
    • Experience with cranes, rigging, or material handling is a plus

    Work Environment

    • Industrial fabrication or manufacturing shop setting
    • May include exposure to heat, noise, sparks, and heavy machinery
    • Safety-first culture with PPE requirements and structured procedures
    • Fast-paced, production-driven environment with quality expectations

    Compensation & Benefits

Compensation varies by employer and experience level but typically includes:

    • Competitive hourly pay ($24–$29/hr typical range depending on skillset)
    • Overtime opportunities
    • Medical, dental, and vision coverage (where applicable)
    • 401(k) options (role dependent)
    • Paid time off and holidays (where applicable)
    • Long-term career growth in skilled trades and manufacturing

    Nice-to-Have

    • AWS or equivalent welding certifications
    • Experience with heavy structural steel fabrication
    • Crane or rigging certification
    • Experience in high-production or job shop environments

    Why This Type of Role

These positions offer stable, hands-on career paths in essential industries like heavy manufacturing, steel fabrication, construction support, and industrial production. Skilled welders and fabricators are consistently in demand and play a critical role in keeping large-scale infrastructure and manufacturing projects moving.
