We are seeking a Fitter in Struthers, OH.
-Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
-Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components using hand and power tools.
-Fit and assemble structural frameworks, machinery, and piping systems.
-Align and test assembled parts to ensure proper fit and function.
-Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment.
-Inspect and test completed assemblies for accuracy and conformance to standards.
-Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments.
-Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment.
-Collaborate with welders, machinists, and other tradespeople to complete projects.
-Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or technical certification in mechanical fitting, fabrication, or a related field.
-1-3 years of experience as a fitter in a manufacturing, construction, or maintenance environment (may vary by role).
-Proficient in using hand tools, grinders, drills, and measuring instruments.
-Knowledge of mechanical systems and assembly techniques.
-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
