We are currently seeking an experienced Fitter/Welder to join our team. This role involves both shop and field work, focusing on pipe fitting and structural fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, solid technical skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fit-up and welding of carbon steel piping and structural assemblies
- Weld using MIG, Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) processes
- Layout, measure, cut, and assemble components to precise tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure all welds meet project specifications and industry quality standards
- Maintain a safe work environment in both shop and field settings
- Work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines
Qualifications:- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a fitter/welder
- Strong background in pipe fitting and structural steel fabrication
- Proficiency in MIG, FCAW, and SMAW welding processes
- Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate fit-ups independently
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites
- Ability to pass a weld test and fit-up evaluation
