Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fitter / Welder to join our fabrication team. The Fitter / Welder will be responsible for fitting, assembling, and welding metal components according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions
Fit, align, and assemble structural and fabricated metal components
Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding as required
Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials for fabrication
Use grinders, cutting tools, drills, and other fabrication equipment
Set up and operate welding machines and related equipment
Inspect welds and finished assemblies for quality and accuracy
Make adjustments to ensure proper fit, alignment, and dimensions
Perform basic welding equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
Previous experience as a fitter, welder, fabricator, or similar manufacturing position preferred
Experience with MIG, TIG, or stick welding
Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings
Ability to use tape measures, squares, levels, calipers, and other measuring tools
Knowledge of metal fabrication and welding processes
Mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools
Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move materials as required
Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE
