Location: Port of Catoosa, OK
Pay: $26.00-$29.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM

Fitter Welder – Must-Have Requirements

• Previous fitter/welder experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
• Strong knowledge of weld fit-up and fabrication
• MIG and Flux Core welding experience
• Ability to measure accurately using a tape measure and other measuring tools
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and materials

Fitter Welder – Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fitter Welder to join a fabrication team at the Port of Catoosa. This position combines structural fitting and welding responsibilities and requires the ability to accurately fit, assemble, and weld fabricated components according to blueprints and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication skills, understand proper weld fit-up, and be comfortable working in an industrial environment.

Fitter Welder – Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Fit and assemble metal components according to blueprints and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
• Measure, mark, cut, and position materials for fabrication
• Set up and prepare parts for welding
• Perform MIG and Flux Core welding
• Tack weld and secure components prior to final welding
• Inspect fit-up and completed welds for accuracy and quality
• Use grinders, cutting tools, and other fabrication equipment
• Make adjustments to ensure proper alignment and dimensions
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all safety and quality procedures
• Work with other welders, fitters, and production personnel to complete projects

Fitter Welder – Additional Qualifications

• Experience with structural steel or heavy fabrication preferred
• Experience fitting large or complex fabricated components is a plus
• Ability to read a tape measure and accurately interpret dimensions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work a 10-hour shift and overtime as needed
