Join PING's Environmental Health & Safety team for an exciting summer internship supporting safety, environmental compliance, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operations. At PING, interns gain hands-on experience working on meaningful projects that directly contribute to employee safety, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and environmental stewardship. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a dynamic manufacturing environment while collaborating with professionals across multiple departments.
We are seeking students pursuing degrees in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Sustainability, Public Health, or related fields. Successful candidates will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplaces.
Projects may include:
Reviewing and updating safety program documentation and procedures
Assisting with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and workplace inspections
Supporting hazard identification, corrective action tracking, and safety improvement initiatives
Conducting ergonomic assessments and evaluating opportunities to reduce injury risk
Participating in industrial hygiene sampling activities, including noise and air quality monitoring
Collecting, analyzing, and reporting EHS data and performance metrics
Supporting recycling, waste reduction, and sustainability initiatives
Assisting with environmental reporting and compliance activities
Developing safety training materials, employee communications, and visual reports
Evaluating opportunities to improve EHS processes through technology, automation, and data management
Additional Information:
You must be willing to dedicate at least 8 weeks (40 hours per week) to the internship
The internship requires you to be onsite in Phoenix, Arizona
