REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required in English;

  • One (1) year previous experience in related field.

  • A valid Texas Driver''s License and an acceptable driving record

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Assists in ensuring that the Warehouse operations are supportive of the instructional goals and objectives of the district and attainment of the campus performance objectives.

Assists in providing a smoothly functioning physical learning environment for the students and employees of the district, maintaining a safe, clean and attractive area at each work station/campus with minimal interruption in the routine workings of the district.

Supervises and actively participates in the tagging, storage and delivery of all fixed assets for the District. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

Demonstrates ability to deal with emergency reports efficiently.

Coordinates, retrieves and records surplus/obsolete items for disposal district-wide (auction). Designs and implements scheduling layout to maximize space allocations. Supervises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped, methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock, and related problems. Supervises warehouse inventory and record system, maintaining personnel, insurance, and other records, as required. Assists in solving personnel problems, needs and selection of personnel. Assists the Director of Warehouse with preparing reports and helping with records, property accounting and inventory of District and department equipment.

Organizes warehouse items to facilitate efficient tagging and shipping of fixed assets. Studies records and coordinates the immediate return of incorrect orders. Reconciles fixed assets received versus fixed assets shipped. Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures. Schedules work for special and periodic inventories. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. Issues written and oral instructions.

Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.

Maintains harmony among workers and resolves problems. Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates. Assists in training District personnel and preparing various types of reports District wide applicable to the position. Exhibits skill in planning, organizing, and directing various activities.

Maintains current knowledge of required software applications. Ex. MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power point.

Diagnoses and evaluates systems to recommend upgrades.

Creates, modifies, and maintains database for the fixed asset disposal program that improve the efficiency of District-wide auctions. Demonstrates ability to communicate both in an oral and written manner effectively.

Exhibits punctuality and dependability in attending meetings, and reading communication documents.

Displays initiative. Accepts and performs assignments in a positive and efficient manner.

Assists in preparing and processing documentation when delivering, receiving, transferring or disposing of capital outlay equipment. Assists in performing and reconciling physical inventories of all capital assets and campus defined items. Drives vehicle to and from worksite; obeys all traffic laws.

Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties. Maintains confidentiality.

Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees.

Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required. Performs any other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Director.
