Role: Manager, Fixed Asset Accounting

Seeking a hands-on accounting leader to oversee fixed asset accounting for a high-volume, $1B+ asset portfolio. This role serves as the companys fixed asset subject matter expert, leading a team of four while driving process improvements, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Seeking a hands-on accounting leader to oversee fixed asset accounting for a high-volume, $1B+ asset portfolio. This role serves as the companys fixed asset subject matter expert, leading a team of four while driving process improvements, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all fixed asset accounting activities, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and construction-in-progress accounting.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and period-end reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally to establish and improve fixed asset policies, processes, and best practices.
- Maintain SOX-compliant controls and support internal and external audits.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
- Develop, mentor, and manage a team of four accounting professionals.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 2-3+ years of people management experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, fixed asset accounting, and internal controls.
- Experience managing high-volume fixed asset portfolios ($1B+ preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience required.
- SEC reporting experience is a plus.
- Retail, grocery, or restaurant industry experience preferred.
