The Fixed Equipment Engineer role is fundamentally important to the company plant operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ASME, NFPA, PSM, and EPA RMP regulations.
- Manage capital projects ($50K–$1M+) to enhance safety and compliance.
- Oversee Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
- Working knowledge of basic chemical unit operations and Process Safety Management (PSM) systems
- Support regulatory interpretation and technical guidance for site projects.
- Maintain and audit MOC and Pre-Start Up Safety Review (PSSR) procedures.
- Lead safety improvements and cultivate a strong EHS culture.
- Conduct audits, investigations, and training on process and dust safety.
- Provide regulatory interpretation and technical support on process safety matters and site projects, including pressure vessel repair, tank repair, machine guarding, and RAGAGEP interpretation
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in Chemical Process Safety or Combustible Dust preferred.
- Strong project management, communication, and attention to detail.
- Coordinate Compliance efforts in line with OSHA, ASME, NFPA, Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) rules
- Knowledge of PSM, DHA, PHA, OSHA, NFPA, ASME, and API standards.
