Flag Squad Advisor

North Reading High School Marching Band is seeking Flag Squad Advisor. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.

Essential duties

• Monitor the Colorguard at rehearsals and competitions

• Choreograph auxiliary work, flag work, and body for the marching band shows

• Assist in the design and implementation of the marching band show

• Other duties as assigned by Marching Band Advisor, Assistant Marching Band Advisor, Director of Athletics and Student Activities, and/or their Designee

Requirements

• Strong technical background as a performer or instructor in marching band auxiliary units
• Ability to demonstrate and teach fundamental flag components
• At least two (2) years of prior experience
• Ability to independently compose, arrange, and choreograph visual flag and dance routines that complement the marching band''s field show
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
