Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Assemble and maintain complex test lab fixtures and equipment using a variety of technical skill sets.
Assemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair complex test articles and specimens.
Assist with test setup and execution for experimental, structural, and flammability testing.
Support activities involving:
Sheet metal work
Instrumentation and electrical systems
Fabrication
Calibrations
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Large structural components
Learn and apply experimental test processes, internal lab procedures, SOPs, and work methods.
Develop familiarity with various lab systems, tools, and testing capabilities.
Communicate effectively to receive and understand work assignments, including coordination with test engineering teams as needed.
Provide project status updates and communicate support needs to direct supervisors.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and engineering specifications.
Follow standard operating procedures when using company and laboratory equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by supporting 6S and Lean initiatives.
Properly use, maintain, and store company-provided tools and equipment.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in aviation, manufacturing, electronics, mechanical assembly, or related technical environments preferred.
Experience with basic hand tools.
Proficiency in blueprint reading/interpretation and shop mathematics.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow detailed procedures and work safely in a lab environment.
Must comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a hands-on technical lab environment supporting test execution and equipment setup.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Experience:
Exposure to experimental testing, structural testing, or laboratory operations.
Experience with fabrication, instrumentation, electrical systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
