Job Title:Flat Welding - Welder
Shift: Weekend Shift, 5am-5pm Job Description: - To assist in the fabrication of the parts
- Maintain production schedule
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance PM’s that are the operator’s responsibility
- Complete all production and quality documentation
- Maintain acceptable weld appearance
- Maintain and operate a mig welder
- Maintain acceptable production rate within the skill level
- Make quality checks to ensure materials, parts and workmanship are compliant with engineering requirements and productions expectations
Job Qualifications: - Demonstrate superior service skill(s) and professionalism in day-to-day dealings with coworkers, setting a good example in attendance and work ethics.

- Continually demonstrate good attendance practices, minimizing unplanned absences
- Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as ensuring a safe work environment is maintained
- Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude
- Strive to continually improve quality, safety, and productivity within your department.
- Able to complete all documents pertaining to the process
- Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
- Read a tape measure to within 1/16”
- A general understanding of common hand tools is preferred.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to read and understand all engineering prints related to the process
- Able to determine good weld quality during the welding process and make correction as needed
- Assist in other areas of the shop when needed
- Maintain the required welder certification within the skill level
Physical Requirements: - Manufacturing and outdoor environments
- Continuous standing, sitting, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday
- Lifting of 50 lbs or more with assistance; two-person lift or mechanical
- Wear PPE when required
- 12-hour shifts, paid lunch Friday-Sunday
- Work 34.5 hours and paid for 40
