Description
Position Overview The Lab Technician performs laboratory work in the flavor laboratory using formulas provided by a Flavorist. Responsibilities include operating specialized equipment (spray dryer, homogenizer, extractors), compounding, filling, packaging, and shipping samples, while maintaining strict adherence to safety, compliance, and quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Compounds and/or provides samples for customers, chemists, applications, QC, and/or regulatory in a neat and timely manner. · Understands Flavor formulas and develops procedures to obtain required samples. · Cleans, sanitizes, assembles, and runs pilot equipment such as a homogenizer and spray dryer. · Interacts with Flavorist to work out differences in formula and supports development and matching projects. · Monitors ongoing workflow with the VP of Business Unit. · Performs special projects under the direction of the VP of Business Unit. · Interacts with Flavorist to work out differences in formula and supports development and matching projects. · Works accurately with small quantities of product and raw materials. · Utilizes good time management skills while working under pressure. · Prepares graphs and charts. Keeps accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of all samples made. Prints and maintains the security of all flavor formula batch sheets. · Cleans and sterilizes laboratory equipment and glassware. Keep the laboratory clean and orderly at all times. · Maintains the laboratories" supply of raw materials and supplies. · Complies with all laboratory safety procedures. Follows good lab practices for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. · Produce pilot batch orders for customers. · Work under the guidance of the R&D Flavor Lab Manager or VP of Business Unit.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
