CLOSING: Until filled Job Summary/ Scope Performs payroll duties including but not limited to processing timecards, payroll books, timesheets, and personnel action forms. Processes purchase order documentation, including master agreements and price agreements. Performs general secretarial duties including answering telephones, data entry, filing, computer work and using City’s radio system. Limited budgetary responsibilities. Materials and Equipment Directly Used Uses a variety of office equipment including personal computer, typewriter, copier, fax machine and other related equipment. There may be times when use of personal vehicle may be required. Working Environment/Physical Requirements Work is performed in an office setting with a controlled environment seldom need to lift more than 10 to 20 pounds. Sit for long periods of time at computer terminal. Work involves frequent in-office walking, standing, sitting, bending, and reaching. Some overnight or day travel may be required for business purposes. Vacation and other leave scheduling shall be requested of and approved by the appropriate supervisor. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in a related field preferred. One to three years’ prior experience in a related field required. l applicants must pass a drug screening and criminal background check prior to employment.
