Fleet Diesel Systems Mechanic (B-Level)

Where: Channahon, IL

Hours: Mon–Fri, shop open 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Pay: $31–$37/hour DOE

What you’ll do

• Follow shop and vehicle safety procedures without fail.
• Execute full preventive maintenance services: lube, filters, complete inspections, and cab safety/security checks inside and out.
• Service braking systems and suspension-related items; perform tire tread checks, inflation, rotations, and wheel reconditioning.
• Handle basic electrical work, including replacement of starters, alternators, and batteries.
• Inspect and replace basic engine components; perform R&R on transmissions, clutches, and driveline components.
• Remove and replace steering and chassis components.
• Assist with additional shop needs and assigned tasks.

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of mechanic experience.
• Eligible and able to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire.
• Own your tools and steel toe boots.
• Valid driver’s license.

Compensation & benefits
