Equipment Technician
A client of 1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced Fleet Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and service a variety of industrial and contractor equipment, including welding machines, step-up transformers, and small engine equipment. We are looking for a self-starter with a strong work ethic, commitment to quality workmanship, and dependable attendance. This is a day shift position.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience repairing tools, machinery, or construction equipment.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, schematics, drivetrain systems, and diesel/gasoline engines.
- Experience with mobile heating and air conditioning systems preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, climbing, and extended periods standing in a shop environment.
- Willingness to travel to job sites, including occasional overnight stays.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification, aerial platform certification, fall protection certification, OSHA training, and manufacturer-specific training.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Must provide personal repair tools; bench equipment will be supplied.
- Overtime, including weekends, may be required based on workload demands.
Preferred Certifications
- Miller Certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, lifting, climbing, bending, pushing/pulling, repetitive motion, and working in physically demanding conditions. Employees may regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Work is performed primarily in a repair shop environment with exposure to heat, humidity, noise, moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles. Appropriate PPE is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine adjustments, testing, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems for on-road/off-road vehicles and construction equipment.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and aerial work platforms.
- Complete work orders, parts orders, and related paperwork accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Support company Health, Safety & Environmental initiatives.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Technical school credentials preferred.
