We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join our team on-site at our 2 Beta facility in Pittsburgh, PA. The purpose of this position is to ensure that NEP meets or exceeds all compliance standards for the safety of its mobile units and the personnel who operate them, as well as facilitate and execute mobile unit movement throughout the compound to ensure smooth maintenance operations. This position requires the ability to effectively coordinate all truck movement within the compound and to outside vendors.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support operations tied to some of the largest media, broadcasting, and sporting events in the world.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pittsburgh and requires a high level of commitment, including 24/7 on-call availability to support fleet-related emergencies with timely responsiveness. Class A CDL is required.
Key Duties:
- Coordinate all truck movement within the compound and to outside vendors.
- Perform daily yard checks and enter appropriate data into Microsoft Teams as well as communicate with engineering and operations to ensure proper placement of mobile units within the compound.
- Communicate with Fleet department and Mobile Unit Drivers all necessary changes with fleet equipment.
- Work with other Maintenance coordinators to coordinate any maintenance (scheduled or unscheduled) based on priority.
- All trailer PM/Inspections and weight slips will be monitored and entered in the appropriate spreadsheets.
- Coordinate with the tractor leasing companies to maintain the required PM’s/Campaigns/Repairs.
- Coordinate with our outside vendors to maintain the PM’s/Repairs to the Mobile Units.
- Assist the Fleet Managers in maintaining an equipment and specification spreadsheet for the Mobile Units and the tractors and keep it updated & posted on Microsoft Teams.
- Communicate any Mobile Unit repairs needed to the Fleet Managers, Fleet Director, and Operations Coordinators.
- May be required to perform light mechanical functions as needed.
- Be available “on-call” 24 hours in case of fleet-related emergencies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of related skills in fleet operations, safety and administration preferred.
- Class A CDL is required.
- Current knowledge of state and federal transportation laws and regulations.
- Current knowledge of industry standards regarding safety.
- High School Diploma required. Associates or Technical Degree preferred, however a combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Must possess a current FMCSA physical exam card and is subject to federal regulations for random drug testing and any other required medical exams.
- Must be reliable and attentive to safety and federal laws.
- Willing and able to travel as necessary.
