Job Description

Position overview:

The Maintenance Program Manager is responsible for the development, execution, and continuous improvement of fleet‑wide maintenance programs across the renewable operating portfolio (wind, solar, and battery energy storage). This role partners closely with Site Operations, Operations Support Systems, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Procurement, and other internal stakeholders to ensure maintenance activities are performed safely, consistently, cost‑effectively, and in alignment with regulatory, contractual, and reliability objectives. The position provides programmatic oversight rather than day‑to‑day site supervision, focusing on standardization, performance, and long‑term asset health across the fleet.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Program Leadership
    • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized fleet‑wide maintenance programs for planned and unplanned work across renewable technologies.
    • Champion consistent use of approved maintenance strategies, compliance programs, and CMMS platforms across all operating sites.
    • Evaluate existing programs and integrate enhanced or new maintenance initiatives to support long‑term reliability and safe operations.
  • Operational Support & Coordination
    • Partner with site and fleet personnel to support maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.
    • Assist sites in identifying required parts, services, and resources needed to execute maintenance activities effectively.
    • Support new site development, commissioning, and construction activities from a maintenance readiness perspective.
  • Performance, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
    • Evaluate fleet maintenance performance using industry‑standard metrics and KPIs.
    • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement and drive corrective or preventive actions at a program level.
    • Provide oversight of weather‑readiness and seasonal maintenance programs, including storm, cold weather, and extreme condition preparedness.
  • Training & Capability Development
    • Assist with the training and development of site personnel in support of maintenance activities, standards, and best practices.
    • Promote knowledge sharing and consistency across sites to reduce variability in maintenance execution.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and other internal groups to define scopes of work and support fleet maintenance and repair agreements.
    • Serve as a key liaison between site teams and corporate functions on maintenance‑related initiatives and programs.
  • Travel
    • Up to 25% travel, including periodic site visits to support maintenance programs and initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance management experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree or associate’s degree in a technical field.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience in a power generation or renewable energy facility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience working across wind, solar, and/or battery storage technologies.
