Position Summary:

The Project Specialist will contribute by, supporting and leading technical undertakings with administration components for the Fleet Maintenance Department. This position is accountable for spearheading key implementation projects to help further streamline our maintenance initiatives and support additional growth within Pyle's Fleet Maintenance Team. The qualified professional in this position will need to be able to multi-task in a demanding environment, provide overview and direction on multiple projects, and coordinate with staff on workload through the entire project life cycle ensuring completion of projects. Processes will be audited for evaporation and follow up on by the Project Specialist ensuring the integrity of the infrastructure of the processes stay consistent.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising projects, coordinating with all team members/vendors to keep process streamlined and organized
  • Ensuring uniformity is kept throughout the network on practices, policies and procedures
  • Resolving problems, identifying trends, determining system improvements and implementing change
  • Working with equipment manufacturers on new developments and process implementation
  • Creating comprehensive action plans concerning resources, budget, and timeframes for projects
  • Evaluating potential problems and technical hitches, and presenting solutions to Fleet Maintenance Leadership
  • Supervising projects and coordinating with all team members to keep workflow on track
  • Communicating with Fleet Maintenance Team to identify project requirements, scope and objectives
  • Managing Campaigns/Recalls to completion with timely execution
To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:
  • Strong knowledge of class 8 tractor and trailer maintenance and DOT/OSHA guidelines
  • Should have pronounced leadership traits
  • Familiar with the systems relative to today's heavy-duty equipment
  • Superior customer service and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work as a part of a team
  • Excellent written and strong oral communication skills
  • High school Diploma and Industry Management Experience
  • Must be familiar with spreadsheets and basic statistics
