Fleet Maintenance Technician

Littfin Truss, located in Howard Lake, MN, is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician responsible for assisting in preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a wide variety of equipment including escort vehicles, fork trucks, trailers, and single & tandem axle diesel tractors. Responsibilities:

• Assist with preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, & transmissions.
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns and load securement.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience; formal mechanics education preferred. 2-5 years of related equipment maintenance and repair. General knowledge of load securement and trucking industry preferred. Requires a state issued driver’s license in good standing; CDL license preferred for transporting vehicles as required. DOT Inspector Certification preferred. Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience. Basic computer diagnostics. Working knowledge of engines, brakes, hydraulics, drive train, and electrical systems. Skilled at preventative maintenance.

Other Abilities Required: Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Knowledge of and ability to safely and properly care for and use variety of hand and power tools; manual dexterity. Possess excellent customer service and communication skills with company employees and customers. Able to work with minimal supervision. Dependable, self-driven, team oriented. Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Job Location:  Onsite

Salary Range:  $32-40/hr.
