Fleet Manager

CBIZ is seeking a Fleet Manager for a national transportation company. This individual will oversee fleet operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safety and maintenance initiatives across multiple locations. The position is onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee DOT compliance, reporting requirements, and driver safety standards across the organization
• Ensure driver logs are accurate, complete, and fully compliant with regulations
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs (Fleet Mentor or similar systems) to maximize equipment uptime
• Monitor and maintain fleet performance and maintenance standards across all locations nationwide
• Manage fleet-related budgets, costs, and operational efficiencies
• Utilize and oversee GPS tracking systems to improve fleet visibility and performance
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, service providers, and maintenance partners
• Conduct regular safety audits and compliance inspections at remote branches
• Lead, mentor, and direct the work of team members within the fleet and safety function

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in fleet management, transportation, or safety oversight
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, compliance, and safety standards
• An experienced mechanic with experience with fleet maintenance programs and tracking systems
• Ability to manage multi-location operations and travel as needed
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, nationwide environment
• Hold an unexpired CDL license, preferred.

Compensation

• Compensation up to $120K
• Discretionary bonus potential
