Fleet Manager

Trinity Solar is seeking an experienced and strategic Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize a multi-state fleet operation of approximately 500 vehicles. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective fleet operations across multiple service locations while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage fleet operations across nine states and multiple service locations
  • Oversee a diverse fleet of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles
  • Develop and enhance preventative maintenance programs to maximize vehicle reliability and lifecycle performance
  • Analyze fleet utilization, downtime, and replacement cycles to support strategic planning and cost management
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT, safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage vendor partnerships, including repair providers, leasing partners, and fuel program administrators
  • Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial performance related to fleet operations
  • Direct accident response processes, claims coordination, and corrective action initiatives
  • Utilize telematics and fleet management systems such as Samsara to improve safety and operational efficiency
  • Lead vehicle procurement, upfitting, and disposal processes
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance oversight to fleet personnel across multiple regions

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, Logistics, Automotive Technology, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive fleet management experience, ideally in a multi-location environment
  • Experience managing large-scale fleets of 300+ vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, fleet maintenance practices, and lifecycle cost management
  • Proven leadership, vendor management, and contract negotiation experience
  • Proficiency with fleet management systems, telematics platforms, and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Valid drivers license required
