PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Position is responsible for assisting Fleet Mechanics in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of automotive and heavy equipment, such as keeping mechanics supplied with materials, tools, and shop supplies, cleaning working areas and equipment, and performing routine maintenance.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school, some experience in elementary mechanical repair, and maintenance work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Driver's license to apply. Possession of a valid Louisiana driver's license, prior to appointment.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION
Examination will be a written test.
