Fleet Mechanics are responsible for the maintenance of Menard-owned equipment and vehicles. This includes light duty, medium duty, and heavy-duty truck, trailer, and forklift repairs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect fleet equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repair
- Repair, replace, and adjust necessary units and related parts
- Perform maintenance work to DOT standard for over the road equipment
- Perform general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, propane, and battery powered engines/equipment
- General repair, welding, and fabrication of fleet units
- Perform preventive maintenance work on vehicles including lubrication, oil changes, and annual inspections
- Clean and maintain the work area and equipment
- Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed
Position Requirement:
Must have some direct mechanical experience or an accredited Technician Degree.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are required.
Ability to locate and resolve problems in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Proficient welding and maintenance experience is necessary.
Must be able to take direction from management and the ability to work independently.
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs occasionally.
