    JOB SUMMARY

    Fleet Maintenance Mechanic

    Overview

    Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms, a DFA Dairy Brands company located in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.

    In this position, you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a fleet of tractors, refrigerated trailers, straight trucks, and transport refrigeration equipment.

    Compensation and Incentives

    • Competitive starting pay
    • Additional hourly premiums available for:
    • Class A CDL
    • EPA Section 608 refrigeration certification
    • $1,300 annual tool allowance, with the allowance increasing each year
    • $5,000 sign-on bonus, paid in three installments:
    • $1,250 after three months of employment
    • $1,250 after six months of employment
    • $2,500 after completing one year of employment

    Key Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on fleet vehicles and transport refrigeration equipment.
    • Complete routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, electrical repairs, and scheduled services.
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair tractors, refrigerated trailers, straight trucks, and refrigeration units.
    • Repair and replace components related to engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering systems, differentials, drivelines, suspensions, lighting systems, DEF systems, and exhaust systems.
    • Disassemble and inspect equipment to identify worn, damaged, or faulty parts.
    • Install, adjust, and test new or repaired components.
    • Assist with completing pending vehicle repairs and returning equipment to service.
    • Maintain fleet equipment at established safety, reliability, and performance standards.
    • Accurately record labor time, parts usage, repairs, and preventative maintenance inspection results.
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
    • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
