FLEET MECHANIC

A reputable and well-established Spokane manufacturing company has partnered with Aspen Personnel Service to hire a skilled Fleet Mechanic. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and variety in their day-to-day tasks. If you have at least 3 years of mechanical experience and are looking for a long-term career with strong pay, benefits, and on-the-job training, this could be the role for you. Ideal candidates will have experience servicing large vehicles, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in company vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Complete routine services such as oil changes, brake checks, fluid top-offs, tire rotations, and general tune-ups.

Replace or repair worn components like belts, hoses, brake pads, filters, tires, and suspension parts.

Perform DOT inspections and verify fleet compliance with safety standards.

Keep thorough records of all maintenance activities and repairs.

Coordinate and plan preventative maintenance services based on mileage and service schedules.

Use shop equipment and tools safely while ensuring they are properly maintained.

Respond to on-the-road breakdowns and handle emergency repairs when necessary.

Keep the shop space clean, organized, and safe.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years’ experience working on a variety of vehicle types.

Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and electrical diagnostics.

CDL or mechanical certifications are a plus but not required.

Comfortable working on your feet throughout the shift.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday – Friday
