WORK OBJECTIVE
Performs highly skilled mechanical work analyzing and diagnosing problems, inspecting and/or repairing detective parts. Performs preventative maintenance on automobiles, light and heavy-duty trucks, tractors, graders, fire trucks, pumps, gas compressors, sanitation hydraulic packer trucks, and other related equipment. Employee supervises fleet mechanics in their duties and works under general supervision using independent judgment and initiative. Employee interfaces with user departments when necessary to coordinate work orders and work to be performed. The position assumes additional responsibilities in absence of Fleet Manager This position reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager.
