Fleet Operations Assistant

Position Summary
DIG is seeking a dependable and organized Materials Runner & Yard Support Associate to support our field operations and laydown yard. This position will pick up and deliver materials, tools, and equipment; receive deliveries; and assist with light yard, vehicle, and facility-related tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable handling changing priorities throughout the day.

Primary Responsibilities

• Pick up materials, supplies, parts, and equipment from stores and vendors.
• Deliver materials and tools to DIG jobsites.
• Receive, inspect, and organize deliveries at the laydown yard.
• Help load and unload materials safely.
• Transport company vehicles for service, repairs, inspections, or fueling.
• Maintain delivery records, receipts, and other required documentation.
• Keep company vehicles, storage areas, and the laydown yard organized.
• Communicate delivery updates or delays to the supervisor.
• Assist with inventory counts and other general operational tasks.
• Follow all company driving, safety, and vehicle-use requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a pickup truck; trailer experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Basic phone, text, GPS, and email skills.
• Construction, warehouse, yard, or delivery experience is preferred but not required.
• Must successfully complete DIG’s background check, drug screening, and driver-approval process.
