The Role

The Fleet Safety Manager owns and administers our environmental health and safety (EHS) program with a focus in fleet transportation. Reporting directly to our Human Resources Director, this person ensures regulatory compliance, leads incident investigations, manages environmental safety initiatives, and conducts vehicle maintenance safety audits. You'll be a key voice in protecting our people, equipment, and operations.

**Position Summary

**The Fleet Safety Manager will own and administer our EHS program with a focus in fleet transportation. This role ensures DOT and OSHA compliance, leads investigations, manages environmental safety programs, and conducts fleet maintenance audits. Approximately 30% travel to field and operational sites is required. **

What You'll Do**

  • Oversee full compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations across all operations
  • Maintain and manage OSHA 300 logs, compliance reporting, and annual recordkeeping
  • Lead incident and injury investigations using root-cause analysis; drive corrective actions to completion
  • Manage environmental safety programs including water testing and hazmat handling, storage, and disposal compliance
  • Plan and conduct vehicle and fleet maintenance safety audits — including travel to field sites and remote locations (~30% travel required)
  • Partner with operations leadership to proactively identify and mitigate safety risks
  • Prepare regulatory reports, maintain documentation, and interface with regulatory agencies
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices to keep our safety program current

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in fleet safety, EHS, or a closely related role within transportation, logistics, trucking, heavy equipment, or mobile services
  • Solid working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations, including commercial vehicle compliance
  • Hands-on experience with OSHA 300 recordkeeping and compliance reporting
  • Proven background in incident investigation and injury reporting with strong root-cause analysis skills
  • Experience managing environmental safety programs including water testing and hazmat compliance
  • Experience performing vehicle or fleet maintenance safety audits
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software

Bonus Points

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification (General Industry or Construction)
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
  • Experience in mobile or field service operations
  • Familiarity with multi-state environmental and safety regulations
