GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under general direction, supervises fleet maintenance operations and personnel for the Hamilton County Engineer’s Office; assists with planning and coordinating fleet maintenance and repair activities; ensures day-today operational delivery consistent with departmental standards and priorities; and may act for a higher-level fleet manager or superintendent. JOB DUTIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair operations, including lead or supervisory responsibilities; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position. • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in automotive or medium/heavy-duty truck systems is preferred. • Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance. • Must obtain and maintain a Class “B” Underground Storage Tank (UST) Operator Certification within six (6) months of hire. • Must obtain and maintain EPA Section 609 MVAC Certification within six (6) months of hire. • May be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and other specialized certifications based on assignment.
