Fleet Shop Utility Porter Location: Pelion, SC
Pay: $15 - $18 Based on Experience

We're looking for a dependable and hardworking Fleet Shop Utility Porter to join our Fleet Maintenance team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized fleet shop environment while supporting daily transportation and maintenance operations. What You'll Do As a Fleet Shop Utility Porter, you will: - Maintain the fleet shop, yard areas, and surrounding grounds in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
- Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and recycling materials throughout the fleet maintenance area.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, break areas, and assigned facility spaces.
- Perform trailer washing and cleaning duties in the designated wash bay.
- Move trailers to and from the wash bay using the yard jockey as needed.
- Support general shop and yard organization, including maintaining clean work areas and organizing supplies and equipment.
- Assist with general cleaning, maintenance, and operational support duties as needed.
- Ensure cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required PPE guidelines.
- Identify and report safety hazards, spills, equipment concerns, or maintenance needs.
- Support Fleet Maintenance and Transportation teams with daily operational needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, maintenance, warehouse, fleet, transportation, or industrial environments preferred.
- Ability to safely work around trucks, trailers, equipment, and active work areas.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean and organized work areas.
- Dependable work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Previous experience operating a yard jockey or moving trailers is a plus.

- Exposure may include outdoor weather conditions, wet environments, vehicle traffic, noise, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures.
- Requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- May require working around trucks, trailers, and other fleet equipment.
- Must follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
