    Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

    Mettler Toledo is looking to hire a Fleet Specialist for its Columbus, Ohio location to provide exceptional support to North American Fleet operations, managing data entry, reports, and paperwork processing. The role involves collaborating with Fleet Management and third-party partners for vehicle purchases, sales, and compliance; overseeing driver compliance programs in line with DOT/FMCSA regulations; and assisting management as needed.

    What Youll Do

    • Oversee, manage, and pro-actively optimize a fleet of 1,200 vehicles for North America (NA), which includes the U.S. and Canada.
    • Facilitate the execution of the enterprise fleet plan and ensure that fleet policies and practices are applied uniformly across the company.
    • Work closely with leaders to address fleet-related issues and implement solutions.
    • Review and approve fleet-related expenses and invoices.
    • Manage onboarding and offboarding of fleet drivers.
    • Provide driver support in the administration of vehicle registration renewals and state license plate transfers.
    • Manage logistics of vehicle transports.
    • Run local fleet operations and provide support on regulatory compliance, technical issues, vehicle orders, safety, fuel, and maintenance.
    • Ensure data accuracy and data maintenance of all driver and vehicle information in the fleet management system.
    • Execute procurement plan of new vehicles.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    What You Need to Succeed

    • Bachelors degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field. Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) certification may substitute educational requirements.
    • Three years of experience in purchasing, fleet, logistics, transportation, and human relations skills, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience working with a Fleet Management Company or in a Corporate Fleet Management environment is a plus.
    • Leadership, communication, negotiating, and influencing skills.
    • Metric-driven and results-oriented.
    • Planning and organizational skills.
