Position Summary

To safely operate and maintain a Flexo Graphic Printing Press to efficiently manufacture folding cartons.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Safely perform the following operations and demonstrate, by meeting production standards, your capability to perform the operations during continuous production.

  • Assist Op I and Op II in operation of press.

  • Learn fundamentals of printing

  • Perform duties and responsibilities of Op II when needed.

  • Learn fundamentals of press operation

  • Assist Op I and Op II during downtime and MR's.

  • Maintain clean and organized work area.

  • Attend training programs to further development in position.

  • Perform duties and responsibilities of Roll Tender as needed:

  • Set up and operate roll stand.

  • Organize and maintain roll stock for both presses.

  • Maintain accurate records of allocated board.

  • Maintain clean and organized work area.

  • Perform duties and responsibilities of Press Catcher as needed:

  • Correctly jog and stack product from press

  • Monitor print and cut quality of cartons.

  • Communicate with Operators I and II regarding quality.

  • Assist crews during make ready and press down-time.

  • Perform basic maintenance on press.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Basic printing comprehension

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot.

  • Ability to train new team members.

  • General Math skills

Education and Experience

  • High School/GED diploma

Working Conditions

  • Ability to operate clamp truck and forklift.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to move up to 3000 lb. rolls.

  • Ability to do repetitive work.

  • Ability to work 12-hr. work shift.

  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours.
