- The purpose of this position is to operate or support the operation of production equipment and perform processes related to manufacturing flexible pipe.
- Extrusion Operators participate in a structured on-the-job training program to develop basic skills through the completion of competency modules and hands-on training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Meets all established Company KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Reports directly to the Extrusion Supervisor and assists the Level III / Designee in set up and operation of the assigned production equipment/machine.
- Under the guidance of Level III / designee, Extrusion Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager the Level II Operator operates assigned equipment/machinery for the purpose of producing production, test, or experimental pipe.
- Inspects work in progress, as well as the overall finished product to ensure compliance with Company Quality standards.
- Maintains work center cleanliness, including material storage areas, in accordance with facility operating policies and Standard Operating Instructions.
- Completes required documentation records, as required, in accordance with procedures.
- Successfully complete 16-hour Ultrasonic Testing Training (UTT) Course.
- Complete Quality Module IV for Extrusion.
- Understand Manufacturing Design Specifications (MDS).
- Must be able to identify process variation and communicate to Level II, Level III and Extrusion Supervisor any process changes.
- Complete 40 hours of Ultrasonic Testing D-meter experience.
- Successfully complete NDE - Ultrasonic Testing Certification.
- Able to identify anomalies and/or non-conformances.
- Assists Lead Operator in analyzing and resolving line operations problems.
- When applicable, loads material into machine for production runs, including maintaining material traceability.
- Assists Level III Operator, and Extrusion Supervisor for the purpose of coordinating activities associated with the work center.
- Assists in all work areas in accordance with the Standard Work Instructions, Policies, and Procedures, as directed by the Extrusion Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Candidates must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience in a forward-thinking manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanics, metal forming, and/or extrusion equipment and processes is preferred.
- Candidate must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Candidate must be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Candidates must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Candidates must be able to solve practical problems and deal with situations where only limited standardization exists.
