Position Summary:
Performs Flight Coordination activities including processing of calls for helicopter transport, telecommunications, information management and flight following. Coordinates and helps facilitate patient acceptance into the University of Tennessee Medical Center, working in concert with the Patient Placement Center. Performs the functions of the Regional Medical Communication Center as designated.
Position Qualification:
Education
Associates in Graduate of EMT or Paramedic Program, Preferred
Experience
Three years experience in Air Medical Communications or 911/EMS Dispatch
OR
Three years experience (recent) patient care in a 911 EMS system
Years of Experience can be related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure, Certification, Registration
Basic Life Support
Valid TN Driver's License
EMT IV or Paramedic
Tennessee EMT-IV licensure (National Registry EMT preferred),
ITLS/PHTLS certification
NAACS Certification preferred, but not required,
EMD Certification preferred, but not required
