Omitron is seeking a mission-driven and detail-oriented Flight Safety/Test Analyst to join our team in Alexandria, VA, supporting a dynamic space operations environment. This position involves working at the forefront of satellite operations and space domain awareness, with a focus on real-time analysis, hazard identification, and procedural coordination across the satellite mission lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Train on and operate multiple complex aerospace systems used to screen satellite orbits and assess spaceflight safety.
  • Interface with multiple satellite constellation operators to deliver timely and actionable insights regarding identified hazards or anomalies in orbit.
  • Troubleshoot basic failures and system anomalies while developing subject matter expertise in space environmental effects and spaceflight hazards.
  • Coordinate with senior analysts and tiered support teams to develop and implement temporary operational procedures across all phases of the satellite lifecycle—including development, launch, on-orbit operations, passivation, and reentry.
  • Maintain situational awareness of space traffic and provide analytical support to ensure mission success and space asset protection.
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • US Citizenship required
  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance to start
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Space Operations, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in space operations, aerospace analysis, or orbital safety.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in dynamic operational environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional and multi-agency teams.
 
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with orbital analysis tools or space traffic management systems.
  • Familiarity with satellite command and control systems and protocols.
  • Prior experience coordinating with government or commercial space operators.
