Job PurposeThe Flight Test Telemetry Technologist is responsible for maintaining Telemetry link between Flight test article and Telemetry ground station.Key Accountabilities1. Plans, documents aircraft Flight Test Telemetry frequencies licenses for the Honda.2. Actively participates during Test flights to support Telemetry room and Telemetry Van.3. Review, process and Store Flight test data after each flight.4. Support pre and post Flight briefings.5. Assists Data Flight Test Engineer in data reduction as required6. Prepare Integrated Arrival, Departure and Surface sytem screens to support Aircraft and Telemetry room.7. Maintain Telemetry room and Telemetry Van equipment.8. Support Off-site flight test as required. Approx. travel requirements 50%9. Troubleshoot and repair Telemetry related connections as required including Telemetry tower.Qualifications, Experience, and Skills1. Associate degree or Technical Diploma in Electronics.* Equivalent work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.2. 5+ years Previous experience direct related work experience3. Previous Flight Test experience is preferred.Skills:1. Working knowledge of Systems & Avionics Flight test methods and Flight Control Computer Regulations2. Working knowledge of the Quasonix receiver and Antenna control unit.3. Fire optics connection termination experience is preferred.4. Skilled using Interactive Analysis and Display System and engineering applications.5. Understanding of S and C band frequency management6. Good knowledge of Frequency modulation scheme7. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels throughout and organization.Working Conditions1. Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.2. Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.3. Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (Federal Aviation Administration, Occupational Saftey Health Administration, Department of Transportation, Enviromental Protection Adminstration, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).4. Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.5. Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.6. Effectively communicate in Business English language.7. Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.8. Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided "reach assistance technology" or "movement assist technology" (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly's, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
