Flint - Security Officer - Dual Role - Officer/Armed Officer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and vigilant Security Officer / Armed Security Supervisor to join our team in Flint. This schedule combines regular security patrol duties and armed supervisory coverage.

Schedule & Pay

• Thursday–Saturday: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM – Security Officer $15.00/hour

• Sunday–Monday: Armed Security Supervisor – $22.50/hour

The selected candidate will understand that performing armed security is a significant responsibility requiring sound judgment, professionalism, situational awareness, and strict compliance with company policies, training, and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Armed Security Supervisor on Sunday and Monday, providing site oversight and maintaining an armed presence.

• Follow all company policies, client requirements, and maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to security operations. 

• Carry and properly maintain an authorized firearm while performing armed duties.

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and grounds to identify potential security risks.

• Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal and unauthorized activity.

• Monitor site conditions, personnel, visitors, and potential security threats.

• Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, security incidents or incidents requiring law enforcement intervention. 

• Observe and report suspicious activity and security concerns.

• Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports.

• Assist with conflict management and de-escalation.

• Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to observe and report suspicious activities.

• Implement loss prevention strategies to protect company assets.

•  Provide first aid and CPR assistance when needed. 

Qualifications

• Have a valid Driver’s License

• Pass a criminal background check

(No felonies, active warrants, weapons charges, or violent/fraud-related misdemeanors)

• Have reliable transportation

• Be at least 18 years old

• Have access to a working cell phone

• Possess a valid CPL

• Prior security, military, law enforcement, or supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong observation, communication, and conflict-management skills.

• Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.

• Must be dependable, alert, and capable of safely performing armed security duties.
