Job Summary
Functions as a key member of the nursing care team, participating in the implementation of select components of the patient’s plan of care as delegated by the Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, and department Director. Promotes exceptional customer service with patients and their families and makes recommendations for improved patient care and the promotion and maintenance of a safe, cost-effective healthcare environment.

4. Competent in tasks within the scope of practice of nursing assistant and have knowledge of medical terminology.

6. Ability to use technology components, software, and/or programs to document data into electronic health records.
7. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Work Experience
Six months of experience as a Nursing Assistant required.
License/Registration/Certification
Current Texas Certified Nursing Assistant.
Current CPR training required.
Education and Training
High school graduate or equivalent.
Completion of a state approved Nursing Assistant training program.
- Completion of a formal nursing assistant, medical assistant or equivalent training program; or
- Completion of a Fundamental Nursing registered nurse training program; or
- Graduate of an international registered nurse equivalent program.
