Float Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care / Urgent Care Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program
• Current National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
• Minimum 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner in one of the following:
• Family Medicine
• Primary Care Practice
• Urgent Care
• BLS certification required
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required
• Must provide:Screenshot of active BLS certification
• Screenshot of active NP license
• Float Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care / Urgent Care Preferred

• Experience managing chronic disease conditions and quality measurements
• Experience with Electronic Medical Systems (EMS/EHR)
• Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to practice autonomously
• Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
• Adaptability and flexibility in a float clinic environment
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative clinical care team
• Willingness to obtain additional state licensures if needed
  Float Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care / Urgent Care Additional Requirements
  This position is considered safety sensitive
  DEA registration may be required during onboarding
  Must be comfortable floating between assigned clinic locations
  Must be able to work independently while collaborating with a clinical care team
  Must be available for required weekend rotations and possible holiday coverage

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner seeking a float assignment while providing high-quality primary and urgent care services across multiple outpatient clinic locations.

Family Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

• Provide primary and family medicine evidence-based care, including:Patient assessment
• Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health conditions
• Medication management
• Health counseling and education
• Care coordination and disposition planning
• Perform routine patient examinations and diagnostic testing to support diagnosis and treatment decisions
• Manage chronic disease conditions while focusing on quality outcomes and preventative care
• Educate patients regarding healthy lifestyle choices, wellness, screenings, and disease prevention
• Provide services including:Health screenings
• Behavioral health and wellness support
• Chronic condition management
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive treatment plans
• Encourage patients to actively participate in their healthcare and overall well-being
• Complete patient follow-up and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Handle patient appointments and routine examinations to promote positive health outcomes
• Verify insurance information and collect patient payments
• Assist with administrative clinic responsibilities, including:Opening and closing the clinic
• Inventory management
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
