About Us

Pacific NW Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit, full-service financial institution serving members through branches in Portland, Vancouver, and Hood River, with a new Troutdale location opening soon.

Our mission is simple: be our members' financial partner for life. We believe in building strong relationships, providing financial education, and delivering personalized service that helps our members succeed.

As a smaller credit union, we're able to truly personalize the member experience-and that's why many of our members have been with us for generations.

What We Offer

Competitive pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour plus performance-based incentives

Generous benefits include:

  • 4 weeks of paid time off
  • Health coverage starting after 30 days
  • 401(k) with company match after 6 months
  • Paid life, long-term disability & AD&D insurance
  • Paid holidays and volunteer time
  • Employee loan discounts

Your Role

This role combines the service-focused responsibilities of a Teller with the expanded skills and earning potential of a Member Relationship Officer. As a Float Member Relationship Officer (think Teller plus New Accounts & Consumer Loans), you'll provide flexible support across our branch network while delivering exceptional service to our members.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, adapts easily to changing priorities, and takes pride in being the person others can count on when extra support is needed.

Most of your time will be spent performing teller transactions and supporting daily branch operations. You'll also be trained to open new accounts, assist with consumer lending, and step into Member Relationship Officer responsibilities when coverage is needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to members at the teller line and through other service channels
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and other routine financial transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Travel between branch locations as needed to provide staffing support
  • Open new accounts and perform account maintenance transactions
  • Assist members with consumer loan applications and related documentation
  • Help members navigate digital banking tools, ITMs, and other electronic services
  • Balance cash, maintain accurate records, and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Promote a positive member experience while identifying opportunities to connect members with products and services that meet their needs

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in banking, credit union, cash handling, or customer-facing financial services
  • Strong teller operations experience preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel between branch locations throughout the Portland/Vancouver area and Hood River as business needs require
  • Exceptional member service and communication skills
  • Dependable, flexible, and comfortable working in different environments and with different teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to learn and perform both teller and new account responsibilities
  • Positive attitude and willingness to step in wherever help is needed

Who Thrives in This Role

This role is a great fit for someone who:

  • Enjoys variety rather than doing the same thing every day
  • Takes pride in being dependable and adaptable
  • Likes meeting new people and working with different teams
  • Enjoys helping members solve problems and meet their financial needs
  • Wants to expand their banking or credit union skills beyond traditional teller work
  • Values teamwork, flexibility, and strong member relationships

Schedule

Full-time (38-40 hours per week)

Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturday coverage

Travel between branch locations is required.
