Come join us and shine brighter together As a Float Sonographer you will be responsible for operating assigned scanners to produce images of the patients body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach you will provide Sonography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.This is a temporary PRN position working 24 hours per weekvariable hours and locations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 90 Sonography ImagingScreens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedureExplains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures that will be performed explaining the procedure positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imagedPerforms routine and advanced Sonography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness andor injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedureAdjusts sonography scan parameters correctly and as neededFollows physicians orders precisely conforms to safety regulations to and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System RISMaintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitizing equipment to promote good safety habits for patients and team membersMaintains the American College of Radiology ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements5 Sonography Department SupportAssist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgradesMonitor medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessaryAssist with the training of new team members providing resource and technical expertise as applicable5 Other Duties as Assigned Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
