We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and caring team member to support our school-age classroom and looking for a Floating team member one that can provide a positive, and engaging environment for children. This role works closely with the lead teacher to help create a safe, structured, and encouraging setting where children can learn, play, and grow.
Responsibilities
Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
Support the supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities, transitions, meals, and rest periods.
Help prepare age-appropriate materials, learning centers, and classroom activities.
Encourage positive behavior, social interaction, and participation in group activities.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
Assist with attendance, classroom setup, cleanup, and other daily tasks as needed.
Provide support across different classrooms or age groups when needed as a floater.
Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, and coworkers.
Follow center policies, procedures, and licensing guidelines.
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children in a classroom, childcare, camp, or similar setting preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing classroom needs.
Commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children.
Ability to lift, bend, sit, stand, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
Must meet any applicable state or local childcare requirements, including background screening and training.
