Floater/School Age Teacher

We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and caring team member to support our school-age classroom and looking for a Floating team member one that can provide a positive, and engaging environment for children. This role works closely with the lead teacher to help create a safe, structured, and encouraging setting where children can learn, play, and grow.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Support the supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities, transitions, meals, and rest periods.
• Help prepare age-appropriate materials, learning centers, and classroom activities.
• Encourage positive behavior, social interaction, and participation in group activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Assist with attendance, classroom setup, cleanup, and other daily tasks as needed.
• Provide support across different classrooms or age groups when needed as a floater.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, and coworkers.
• Follow center policies, procedures, and licensing guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a classroom, childcare, camp, or similar setting preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing classroom needs.
• Commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children.
• Ability to lift, bend, sit, stand, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
• Must meet any applicable state or local childcare requirements, including background screening and training.
